Tonia Tommasi, M.Sc. in Environmental Engineering and PhD in Chemical Engineering both obtained at the Politecnico di Torino. Actually she is a senior Post Doc at the Center for Space Human Robotics of the Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia, located in Torino (Italy), working on electricity generation by microbial fuel cells. She has a great passion about the fascinating world of microorganisms, and in particular their strategies to naturally solve environmental and today energy problems. Her research interests focus on energy production from bio-waste, sustainability analysis of bioprocesses, biological hydrogen production and waste-water treatments.
