The Artificial Physiology Lab within the Centre for Sustainable Future Technologies of the Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia (IIT) in Turin is looking for a skilled and enthusiastic Fellow to work in the field of wearable technologies for movement analysis in wellness applications.
The Artificial Physiology Lab deals with human-machine interfaces, developing sensors and advanced algorithms in the context of prosthetics, neuro-muscular rehabilitation, industry 4.0, wellness and sport. The Lab is involved in projects where clinical and industrial partners share resources, competencies and motivation to achieve excellent results.
We are looking for a highly motivated candidate with a degree in Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering or related disciplines.
The selected candidate will be part of an interdisciplinary team developing sensors for physiological monitoring, human-machine interface and rehabilitation engineering. In particular, the candidate will be part of a project in the industry 4.0 field (HOME - Hierarchical Open Manufacturing Europe – funded by the Regione Piemonte with Grant POR-FESR Piemonte 2014/2020 “Fabbrica Intelligente” - project code 319-50; EPNZ006801), dealing with movement detection and reconstruction to improve the physical health and wellness of workers.
