Fondazione Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia – IIT is opening a post-doctoral position on the study of losses mechanisms in metal-halides perovskite solar cells in the framework of the Horizon 2020 call for proposal Competitive Low-Carbon Energy, Research and Innovation Action (RIA) Grant Agreement 763977.

This research activity will be carried out at the “Center for Nano Science and Technology” of Fondazione Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia in Milan (Italy), within the Advanced Materials for Optoelectronics Research Line, led by Dr Annamaria Petrozza.

It will be developed within an European Network aiming at advancing the perovskite thin-film PV technology to the next level by undertaking a “double pronged” drive on both performance (efficiency and stability) and the development of scalable device and module fabrication methodologies, compatible with high volume manufacturing. The consortium consists of leading academic groups in perovskite European PV research, in addition to research companies, and 3 commercial partners at appropriately complementary stages in the value chain (Technology driver, materials supplier and equipment supplier).

Eligible applicants are required to have a PhD in either physics, material science, engineering or a related discipline. She/he will have proven experience both in the fabrication of perovskite based optoelectronic devices and in their electrical and optical characterization. Experience in optoelectronic device modelling will be considered an asset. The successful candidate will be fluent in English.
