1 Post-doctoral position in Medicinal Chemistry is available within CompuNet, a group composed by both computational and medicinal chemists working at IIT Drug Discovery and Development Research Line.
The position is meant for medicinal chemists capable of developing synthetic pathways to obtain stereochemically and structurally diverse small compounds for the inhibition of selected drug targets.
Knowledge of contemporary synthetic organic chemistry, familiarity with modern chromatographic analytical and purification instruments (MS-HPLC, automatized normal phase purification instruments etc.) and experience in the characterization of organic compounds via NMR spectroscopy and/or mass spectrometry are required.
The candidate must be capable of mastering new experimental techniques. He/she will work in close contact with computational chemists in a cutting-edge research environment with state-of-the-art instrumentations and labs and will play a key role in generating new inhibitors with therapeutic implications and potential for high-impact publications.
