Applications are invited for a full time Technician position for the Electron Microscopy Facility in Genova.
The Facility will supports all IIT Research Lines, ranging from materials science to robotics and life science, and currently hosts four transmission electron microscopes (JEM-1011; JEM-1400Plus; JEM-2200FS, image-Cs-corrected; Tecnai G2 F20) and two scanning electron microscopes (JSM-6490LA and JSM-7500FA), together with a well-equipped preparation laboratory.
The main tasks of the selected candidate will be:
The ideal candidate will have a M. Sc. in Physics, Chemistry, Materials Science or related field and fluency in spoken and written English. Fluency in Italian would be advantageous.
The candidate is required to have well-developed interpersonal skills to work with users and service-oriented spirit. Previous experience with a wide range of electron microscopy-related techniques, as well as previous experience as technician within a laboratory in an international scientific environment, will be positively evaluated.
