We are looking for a postdoctoral candidate with strong experimental experience, who will collaborate in a project on the role of the biophysical stimuli of the culturing microenvironment on stem cell functions and fate.
The Center focuses on the rational design of functional surfaces to control cell functions and fate, developing tissue/organ – on – chip devices for in vitro studies and fabricating novel micro- and nano-systems for theranostics. The Center integrates multidisciplinary expertise ranging from Engineering, Material Science, Chemistry, Biology and Pharmacology. Laboratories are equipped with cutting-edge instrumentations for molecular and material synthesis, micro- and nano-fabrication, surface, morphological and ultrastructural characterization, along with state-of-art equipment for cell and molecular biology.
The ideal candidate should have:
- PhD in Biology, Biotechnology or Bioengineering with a strong academic and publication record;
- Documented experience in stem cell culturing, characterization and differentiation;
- Expertise in Cell Reprogramming techniques;
Experience in Mechanotransduction studies, cell mechanics and functionalizing material platforms for cell cultures will be also taken in great consideration.
We seek a highly motivated and creative scientist who will work in a very dynamic and interdisciplinary environment.
