The Humanoid & Human Centred Mechatronics Research Line at Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia (IIT), an English-language research Institute, is looking for an international well motivated full-time postdoctoral candidate. He/she will have a key research role on torque-controlled legged robots such as humanoid, quadrupedal robot, and its hybrid platform, newly developed in Humanoid & Human Centred Mechatronics (HHCM) Laboratory.
We are looking for highly motivated, outstanding scientists with a background and PhD in Mechanical/Control Engineering and an excellent, well-established publication record on control of legged robot systems.
The desirable expertise must concern dynamic control of a floating-based legged robot with experience on one or more of the following topics:

The successful candidate will perform a focused research on the relevant topic within the EU H2020 projects CogiMon GA 644727 (http://cogimon.eu) and EUROBENCH GA 779663 (http://eurobench2020.eu) in the HHCM Lab led by Nikos Tsagarakis and will be offered a two-years contract with a highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.
