We are seeking a post-doctoral candidate to join the Cancer Biology team lead by Dr. Stefano Campaner within the Genomic Science Research Line at the Center for Genomic Science of Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia (IIT) in Milan, Italy (https://cgs.iit.it/research/cancer-biology), coordinator Dr. Francesco Nicassio. Our group has a long-standing interest in understanding the molecular mechanisms of transformation induced by oncogenic transcription factors such as Myc and the Hippo pathway co-activators YAP and TAZ.
The successful candidate will be involved in the study of the transcriptional co-activators YAP and TAZ, focusing in particular on their role in lineage restriction and in the control of cellular proliferation. This study is based on a combination of in-vivo and in-vitro studies aimed at dissecting the role of YAP/TAZ by using genome wide chromatin studies (ChIP-seq, ATAC-seq) coupled with genome wide mRNA expression (RNA-seq, Quanta-seq and SLAM-seq) and single cell analyses (sc-RNA-seq and sc-ATAC-seq). We are seeking a highly motivated, ambitious and talented scientist to join our lab. The ideal candidate should be highly skilled in computational biology and bioinformatics, with proven experience in coding using both scripting languages as C/C++, Phyton and statistical languages as R.
Ability to program, operate and transfer data in Unix, Linux and Macintosh OS X systems will be a plus. Problem solving abilities and a team working attitude will be essential.
