Biografia

Giuliano Greco is the Director of the Communication and External Relations Directorate at the Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia (IIT - Italian Institute of Technology), where he oversees all communication activities, including Italian and international press offices, institutional relations, internal communication, digital communication, and social media.

He holds a degree in Biology from the University of Genoa, a PhD in Marine Biology from University College Cork (UCC) in Ireland, and an Executive Master in Communication and Public Affairs from IULM School of Communication in Milan. He is also a member of FERPI (Italian Federation of Public Relations). Giuliano’s passion for science communication dates back to his early university years, when he began exploring how to make science accessible and engaging to broader audiences.

After two years as a postdoctoral researcher at the Italian National Research Council (CNR), he decided to fully dedicate himself to science communication. He co-founded and serves as President of Scientificast, Italy’s first indipendent scientific podcast, and co-founded the Pint of Science Italia association, where he held the role of Communication Manager. Over the years, he has actively participated in numerous scientific dissemination events.

In addition, Giuliano is a scientific advisor, author, and speaker, contributing to scientific podcasts and publications for various media outlets and publishers.
