Soheil Gholami was born on 19 July 1990 in Tehran, Iran. He obtained his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering – Control Engineering from Shahed University, Tehran, Iran, in July 2013. In February 2016, he obtained his Master of Science in Electrical Engineering – Control Engineering from K. N. Toosi University of Technology (KNTU), Tehran, Iran, with a thesis entitled “Design and Implementation of a Robust Nonlinear Control Scheme in Teleoperation with Time-Varying Delay in Eye-Surgery Applications”.
Since February 2019, he is pursuing a PhD in Bioengineering at Politecnico di Milano in the Neuroengineering and Medical Robotics Laboratory (NearLab), working in collaboration with Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia (IIT) at the Human-Robot Interfaces and Physical Interaction (HRI2) laboratory, under the supervision of Dr. Elena De Momi and Dr. Arash Ajoudani. His research is mainly focused on the development and implementation of advanced techniques and interfaces for dynamic human-robot interaction and collaboration.
