Claudia Ogliastro is a PhD student at the Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia, enrolled in the Materials Science and Technology doctoral program coordinated by the University of Genoa. She is currently working in the Polymers and Biomaterials group, led by Prof. Nicola Tirelli. Her research, titled "Oxidation-Responsive Nanomaterials Based on Sulfur-Containing Polymers," focuses on the design of polymeric ROS-scavenging nanoparticles and their application as an anti-inflammatory therapy.
With a background in bioengineering and biotechnology, Claudia earned her bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering at the University of Pisa before moving to Politecnico di Milano, where she obtained her master's degree in the same field, specializing in Cells, Tissues, and Biotechnologies.
Her current work involves the synthesis and characterization of sulfur-containing polymeric nanoparticles to explore their therapeutic potential as anti-inflammatory agents in tumor environments.
