Dinh Quang Nguyen received the degree of Engineer and Master of Science, in the field of Mechanical Engineering, from the Hanoi University of Science and Technology (HUST), Vietnam, in 2011 and 2013, respectively. From 2013 to 2018, he worked as a lecturer at Hanoi University of Industry (HaUI), Vietnam. He achieved a Ph.D. degree in School of Materials Science from Japan Institute of Science and Technology (JAIST), Ishikawa, Japan, in 2022 (supported by MEXT Scholarship). After graduating, Dr. Nguyen led a laboratory on simulation and high-performance computing (SHPC) at the Institute of Technology, HaUI. From 2024, he joined Department of Robotics Engineering, Faculty of Electronics and Telecommunications, University of Engineering and Technology - Vietnam National University (VNU-UET). His research interests are soft robotics, biomimetics, functional materials, and mechanical engineering. Dr. Nguyen has been serving as a reviewer for high-quality journals (TRO, SoRo, RAL, Advanced Robotics) and many international conferences such as IROS, RoboSoft, SII, RSS, etc.
As a participant in many research projects and as a solution provider for companies' problems related to the design of mechanical systems, and measurement equipment, Dinh Nguyen has experience in mechanical design, and automatic systems. SolidWorks and AutoCAD are among his favorite design software programs. Additionally, he has used Abaqus and Ansys during his PhD research and for some of his projects.
