Janet Kolejian is a PhD student at the Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia as part of the national PhD program in RNA Therapeutics and Gene Therapy, coordinated by University of Naples Federico II. She is currently working in the Polymers and Biomaterials group, led by Prof. Nicola Tirelli. Her research, titled "Molecular Engineering and Microfluidic-Assisted Preparation of RNA-Loaded Functional and Targeted Nanoparticles," focuses on the design and delivery of new gene therapy and RNA-based medicines.
With a background in pharmaceutical sciences and biotechnology, Janet started her journey with a Pharmacy degree in Armenia before heading to the University of Pavia for a Master's degree in Medical and Pharmaceutical Biotechnologies, specializing in the pharmaceutical track.
Her current work involves microfluidic-assisted synthesis of nanoparticles and 3D printing technologies, basically mixing tiny science with big ideas to improve drug delivery and pharmaceutical manufacturing.
