Jessica Bertolasi is a PhD student in the Unit for Visually Impaired People (U-VIP) directed by Dr. Monica Gori at the Italian Institute of Technology in Genova. She received her Bachelor's Degree in Electronic and Computer Engineering at Università degli Studi di Ferrara in 2020 with a thesis in Artificial Intelligence and then a Master's Degree in Bioengineering at Università degli Studi di Genova in 2022, with a specialization in Neuroengineering and Bio-ICT curriculum. During her master course, she specialized in Neuromorphic Computing and Human Motor Control. 

She is actually focusing in time perception research, with an emphasis on leveraging extended reality technologies, to explore and enhance understanding into the mechanism of human perception and interaction.
