Alessio Mondini is a Technician in the Bioinspired Soft Robotics research line of the Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia (IIT). He received his M.Sc. in Electronic Engineering from the University of Pisa (Italy) in 2002 and his Ph.D. in microsystems engineering from the University of Roma Tor Vergata (Rome, Italy) in 2009. From 2004 to 2010 he was a research assistant at the Center for Research in Microengineering Laboratories, Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna of Pisa. His research interests include microsystems technologies, biorobotics, soft robotics, miniaturized data acquisition and microcontroller-based systems.
