Open Science
Enabling Open Science with services and recognition
IIT fosters accessibility, transparency, and reproducibility of scientific knowledge by promoting Open Research, through Open Access to scientific articles, Open Data, and by recognizing Open Science practices through Open Research Awards. We support our researchers with tools, consulting services, and training programs.
This reflects IIT's commitment to CoARA, the global coalition for advancing and reforming research assessment. Specifically, it aligns with Action 5 of the IIT CoARA Action Plan, which focuses on supporting the recognition of Open Science practices.
Open Access
To promote Open Access publishing, IIT joined Italian transformative agreements with major scientific publishers via the CRUI-CARE1 consortium.
