The IIT Postdoc Community (IIT-PC) is a postdoc-led organization with the goal of providing support for over 450 postdocs and researchers working in 16 centers of IIT. The IIT-PC seeks to establish a self-sustaining organization that will support all IIT postdocs during their professional research training and career development. The IIT-PC will serve as a liaison between the postdoctoral researchers and the faculty and administration of IIT, as well as between the researchers and external organizations, and will strive to engage with and improve the IIT community.  

The IIT-PC seeks to enhance all aspects of the postdoctoral training experience and foster a sense of community which promotes and encourages an environment of peer support. The IIT-PC will continually aid incoming postdoctoral researchers as they integrate into the IIT community as well as continue to maintain an alumni network of past postdocs. The IIT-PC does not discriminate based on race, religion, sex, ethnicity, national origin, age, disability, sexual orientation, gender expression, or gender identity.

With the aim of establishing a more active and engaged Postdoc Community within IIT, our activities in the scope of the initiative will focus on sharing experiences, fostering interdisciplinary collaborations, organizing specialized trainings and planning social events.  Through a continuous dialogue with the HR team, the Projects Office, the Technology Transfer Office, and the Open Science Office, IIT-PC will make sure to provide postdocs and researchers with a set of activities tailored for the needs of our community.
