This workshop aims to:
- Help you identify why certain decisions are more difficult make.
- Provide tools to enable you to understand how choice options relate to your personal values and priorities.
- Introduce you to a number of techniques that can help you choose with confidence when facing difficult choices.
Dr. Christine Stubbendorff, currently working as a postdoc in “Genetics of Cognition” under PI Francesco Papaleo, obtained her PhD at University of Leicester, UK, where she also received training in academic mentoring. While working as a postdoc at University of Nottingham, UK, she obtained an Associate Teaching Accreditation (Higher Education Academy, UK) based on supervision and mentoring of graduate students.
In this workshop we will go through tools and techniques used by psychologists and career coaches to help you recognize and prioritize your values and long-term goals, so you can feel more confident about the choices you have to make now or later in your career. The aim is to provide participants with a toolbox of techniques to use when encountering difficult choices in the future.
The workshop will be online with max 30 participants in each workshop. The workshop will use an online teaching platform for discussions and exercises to enable participants to remain anonymous when contributing or asking questions.
