Ilaria De Martino got a Bachelor's and Master's in Biology at the University of Naples Federico II with a specialization in Molecular and Cellular Biology in 2018.
From 2019 to 2020 she obtained a Fellowship to the Department of Molecular Medicine and Medical Biotechnology where she acquired hands on stem cell differentiation.
Since 2020 she joined the SynBio Lab at IIT, first as a Fellow and now as a PhD student where she works on the construction of synthetic genetic circuits to sense and understand the mechanism of cell transmission of the prion protein, a important protein in spongiform encephalopathies diseases.
